A two-part program, ABBADO IN LUCERNE is split into a documentary on the Lucerne Festival Orchestra, and a rousing concert performance from the rightly lauded performers. The Orchestra was formed in 1938, and has interpreted many classic pieces over the years, such as Debussy's La Mer, which makes up the bulk of the concert recording here.
